Dad really went all out for me on my 40th. Here we are in Montreal—a gift in itself—where he presented me with the first of many presents: a digital camera. We're testing it out with an inaugural photo. Because he was almost exactly 30 years old when I was born, he & I hit milestone birthdays in the same years, and our birthdays are less than a month apart.
